. there was an earthquake! it was cool!
. we found the new harry potter book in kofu! my flatmate and i split it- i got to read it first, she gets to keep it.
. i met crazy fun americans and we drove to the top of the mountain to an onsen, (a public bath in a hot mineral spring) and the moon was a lovely orange colour from the haze, and the view was great (officially, the 3rd best night-viewing spot in japan. many such lists exist).
. then we drove down the mountain to a place called fruit park and ran around.
. then yesterday i went to help one of the above americans move out of her house and she gave me lots of clothes and food and spices.
. so my life is more complicated now- i actually had to think about what to wear this morning.
. but also tastier. organic peanut butter! cumin! curry powder! tasty sprinkles for rice!
. it's raining, but not too typhooney here.

i'm guessing because london police shot one of them FIVE TIMES IN THE HEAD because he might have been a suicide bomber. but he was an electrician. but it's ok, because british police are authorised to shoot suspects FIVE TIMES IN THE HEAD. a said commissioner blair said: 'i am very aware that some minority communities are talking about a shoot-to-kill policy; it's only a shoot-to-kill-in-order-to-protect policy.'
that's a lot of hyphens.
actually, turns out it was eight times in the head. they just had to be sure, you know.
